The Parable of the Persistent Widow

Luke 18:1 - 8
"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up...."
This is a simple parable - that I don't actually ever remember reading before. It's cool though (I just flipped right to it) Even just the first verse though. So laid out there. Nothing to read into, no circumstances, or situations - just a parable. And then the last verse: " I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
Is there faith in me? do I have faith?
What is my faith in? Do I always pray and never give up?
It's so easy to give up when things arent completely peachy keen. So easy to forget that God is in control.
I have to ask myself... When do I feel most at peace?
- when I actually communicate with God and try at our relationship.
It's so obvious a solution.
And when things are going badly I know that I should start talking to God, but its my stubborness that gets in the way. I get so down in the dumos - but actually how hard is it? -- to take even five minutes to sit down and make time for my loving father? I have to pick myself up - or rather, just reaffirm that God is my strength and I am not. I have to kneel down
and make that choice to bring myself to God's feet.
I don't know why I get so stubborn - because in reality - it is easier to pray then it is to get stressed out.
But its a choice - and it takes practice and persistence.
I have to choose to be joyful
and accept God's control over situations in my life.

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'" And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
